By year 10 students are exploring pathways that will help set them up beyond secondary school. Career Counselling plays an important role in guiding students through career possibilities and work experience enables students to gain a practical understanding of working life. Students also participate in Course Counselling to help them select subjects for the following year.
The Central Australia Tour is also a key feature of year 10. Students journey to Central Australia, visiting such places as Coober Pedy, Anzac Hill, Kings Canyon and the famous Uluru. They often return from the trip with a greater appreciation for the Australian outback and stronger bonds with those peers and teachers who accompanied them. The long and at times challenging walks that students undertake in the Australian desert, also build character. Overall, the experience imprints lasting memories in students’ minds.
Rowville Secondary College are delighted to announce that we are launching a very exciting program which offers students the opportunity to plan, fund and ultimately lead their own month long expedition to Cambodia and Laos in November 2016.
