In 2014 RSA opened the Rowville Sports Precinct; a modern facility housing three basketball courts, a state of the art fitness centre, on-site physiotherapy, an ice bath and healthy cafe.
We are excited to have these elite facilities on-campus as they have allowed us to improve the quality of our training sessions and have reduced the time spent travelling off-campus.
We share the facilities with RISE Health Group who provide RSA students with physiotherapy, podiatry, dietetic and psychology services. RISE Health are also responsible for coordinating all strength and conditioning activities for the academy. Out of school hours, RISE Health use the facilities for personal training, group fitness classes and health consulting.
Opened in 2010, our floodlit synthetic soccer pitch provides a premier facility for our soccer students. All soccer training sessions are held on-campus between the Eastern Campus Pitch, fitness centre and basketball courts.
Located just 10 minutes from Rowville Sports Academy, Dandenong Stadium offers premier training facilities for our basketball and volleyball students. The stadium houses 10 basketball courts, 7 hard-court volleyball courts and 3 beach volleyball courts.
In addition to hosting Dandenong Ranges SEABL and WNBL matches, the stadium stages several national and international events every year and is the home of Volleyball Victoria.
Since the opening of the Rowville Sports Precinct in June 2014, Rowville Sports Academy has been able to move a significant number of training sessions on-campus, however Dandenong Stadium is still heavily utilised to facilitate all training sessions.
The Dandenong & District Netball Stadium has been utilised by Rowville Sports Academy for our netball program since its inception. The stadium houses 4 netball courts and is located 15 minutes from the academy.
Similar to the basketball and volleyball programs, the opening of the Rowville Sports Precinct has allowed a number of training sessions to be scheduled on campus but we still utilise the Dandenong and District Netball Stadium to cater for all training sessions.
In 2013 Rowville Sports Academy formed a partnership with Waverley Golf Club to host all off-campus golf training sessions. The partnership allows golf students to practice on a premium 18 hole golf course located less than 10 minutes away from the academy.
Waverley Golf Club hosts the Victorian Junior Masters annually, Australia’s leading junior golf tournament, which indicates the quality of the course and club facilities.
