Three Rowville Secondary College year 9 students have qualified for the Victorian team after last weekend’s 2016 All Schools Track & Field Championships at Albert Park’s Lakeside Stadium.

Jemma Stapleton finished as Victorian champion in first in the under-16 90-metre hurdles and runner-up in the 200-metre hurdles event, while Tyler Gray came second in the under-16 long jump and third in the men’s 400-metre.

Hayden Walmsley (pictured) took out first place in the 3-kilometre walk, capping off a stellar 2016 after competing in Perth earlier this year.

The trio will represent Victoria at national level in Canberra, from the 2nd to the 4th of December.
