From 5th to the 8th of August, Rowville Secondary College brought a little magic to the stage with its spectacular 2026 school production of Mary Poppins, performing to a sell-out audience at the Performing Arts Centre.
Over five performances, audiences were transported into the wonderful world of Mary Poppins, with the talented cast bringing the much-loved story to life through impressive performances, dazzling choreography, music and plenty of memorable moments.
Audience favourites included the energetic ensemble numbers Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Jolly Holiday, Step in Time and Let’s Go Fly a Kite, with audiences singing along and even dancing in the aisles.
The Mary Poppins Ice Cream Cart was a huge hit, serving delicious Choc Tops throughout the performances. A special thank you goes to our West Campus Hands on Learning students, who built the beautiful cart especially for the production.
To our incredible cast, crew, staff and our amazing Director, Ms Meg Dunn, thank you for your extraordinary commitment, creativity and hard work in bringing this production to life.
Here’s what our audience members had to say:
“Absolutely amazing! The amount of talent on display is outrageous. This show is simply way too impressive and enjoyable for a High School production. I’ve seen less accomplished stuff at our premiere theatres in the city. A massive congratulations to all cast and crew.”
“My 11-year-old son said before bed – “Now that I’ve seen that play, I can’t stop talking posh”. He then proclaimed in an affected voice; “That was a fabulous musical. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
“Phenomenal!!! Pure joy from start to finish.”
The most wonderful show I’ve ever seen!! Congratulations to everyone involved and to the teachers that made it happen, you are incredible!! Just wow!! I’m so sad it’s over.”
“What a magical show. Rowville always puts on the best shows!”
