However, should they become ill or injured at school they will be attended to by the Health Office. Parents/guardians/carers or emergency contact person will be notified to arrange transport home should it be deemed necessary. To ensure this happens promptly, please make sure all contact details are up-to-date, any changes can be emailed to administration@rowvillesc.vic.edu.au.

Students are NOT PERMITTED to RING or TEXT their parents/guardians themselves OR leave the school without permission. If they are unwell, they are to attend the Health Office to be assessed by the nurse/first aid officers.

If your child requires regular medication to be administered during school hours, parents/guardians need to send the medication to school, clearly labelled and it will be stored in the Health Office & made available for use by your child. Please note: this includes pain relief medication (such as Paracetamol & Ibuprofen). Medical Conditions

Please ensure your child’s medical records are up-to-date. Some complex medical conditions require a School Care Plan and an Emergency Action Plan.

It is a requirement that specific medical conditions such as anaphylaxis, diabetes, epilepsy and seizures, all have individual school management plans. These plans may be uploaded in colour, completed and returned to the College Health Office. Other medical conditions may require a plan that is written by the child’s specialist doctor.

Diabetes Management

Anaphylaxis Management

Each student who is at risk of anaphylaxis is required to have a management plan that has been developed in consultation with the parents/guardians/carers and their medical practitioner.  Prevention strategies for each student at risk of anaphylaxis must be developed for both in school and out of school settings.

Each of these students are required to provide an in date EpiPen and any oral medications prescribed by the child’s general practitioner.
